how does the volvo bov sound vented to atmosphere

I believe it's going to sound like your basic single diaphram unit.. like a 1g/2g dsm or any other inexpensive BOV.

 

It's very quiet. Half the sound of the DSM.
If you get the bracket/flange for the outlet side, you can make a horn to increase the sound. (my next small project)
Being the BOV is only $4-10, it's great for flat rate projects.

 

Probably depends on the amount of boost your running. Mine was loud as hell at 10psi, so loud that I ran a hose from the valve to the fender so I wouldnt have to hear it but other people would.. Sounds basically just like the 1st gens and such like quadnie said. It's a little better though because it's adjustable.
