get fwd v8 manifolds, they tie in together and they hug the block. just put the turbo on the connecting pipe and block off the hole for the factory downpipe.

You can do it easily sure. It'll run fine sure. SAAB does light boosting on their turbo v6's. The problem is getting a big enough compressor paired with a small enough, but not TOO small turbine.
It should be said that AFAIK its never been done to any large extint to know what's going to eventually happen to it. So it would *seem* common since to NOT try to take it very far at all.
