explain that please.
I am stuck to 10 psi on my prelude, we had to stop tuning because of a surging problem that happens around 4000 rpm and when it does it, the RPM needle is jumping all over the places. i got a new ignitor from honda, the guys there told me that it's certainly not the ignitor because they either work or don't and apparently can't cause an on & off problem like that according to them.
i do have MSD 6a+ coil. Tried to bypass them completely and the problem remains. Changed plugs, wires, ECU, conversion harness, distrib rotor, checked all connections.... the problem doesn't go.

msd ignitions put out big voltage and amperage to stock coils/ignitors, youre lucky to make 5000 miles before itll either eat the coil/ignitor i replaced my $400 to replace ignitor/coil with a msd 6al, accel coil, and 22re dizzy pickup coil (stronger magnetic fields, carb pickup doesnt have the oomph for msd to realize its triggering)

n/a i can gap plugs out to .045" at 13.5"1, .040 in boost. if you've ever been shocked by a coil by accident, wait till you get hit with msd and feels like you got struck by lightning. definitely the way to go if you need huge fat spark though.

i really doubt you can delete the honda dizzy internals, but here's the wiring for honda to msd

i promise you i have over 10,000 miles on mine with no troubles. im not gonna bother with it, if it isnt broke dont fix it. i need to worry about the next turbo i get, not the msd.
