Default turbo y8 question...

where should i run my primary o2 sensor? in the HF mani?...or in the o2 housing for my DSM turbo, or should i just plug both of them up and put a bung in the DP near the cat?.
also...does anyone know of what i can use to plug up the hole in the mani, and o2 housing, or should i just weld them shut..haha

thanks a lot!!!

I assume you are going to stay OBD2? so you are going to run both o2 sensors? I'd put one right in the HF manifold, and the other one doesnt mater because its going to freak out because there is no Cat convertor inbetween the o2 sensors, you might as well just zip tie it to the body somewhere or get a o2 simulator, because it will throw a check engine light without one.

i already got rid of the secondary, because i got a test pipe. Yes, i'm staying OBD2. Doesn't that mean my primary reacts to heat, i've heard that my car might run stupid if i mount the o2 in the mani..thanks dude..

ps..can i just plug the bung in the mani..and run my o2 in the o2 housing?....and do you know if the honda sensor will bolt right into the DSM o2 housing?

Nah, it should run ok up there, I've ran all my oldschool hmt setups with the o2 in that spot.

You just disconnected the secondary o2 or what? How do you keep the CEL from staying on?

If you are wanting to plug the holes.. instead of throwing a messy bead of weld up in that ---- you need to get a 18mmx1.5 bolt. You can find that within the "help" section of your local autoparts store, I believe it will be in the guise of an oil drain plug. Certain spark plugs will also work (if they are the right size/thread). I would just throw your primary in the DSM housing and go ahead and rig the secondary o2 to whatever. Keep that manifold hole open for a possible EGT probe

i put mine as close to where it was when it was stock, i figured it was put there for a reason, so i'll leave it like that, not to mention, it's easier b/c you don't have to extend the wires and all dat ----. get an o2 simulator or put your cat back in. so now you stare at a cel all day and you assume it's from the o2 sensor, but what if you throw another code and you don't even know it b/c you think it's just on b/c of the o2
