Default GT Dual BallBearing Turbo Question/BOV question

okay, so i hear this rumor. GT series turbo's that are Dual Ball Bearing does not require a bov? compressor surge does not hurt the turbo. is this true or no? im havin bov issues n i dont wanna run one lol. will this result in a garbage turbo or will i be okay. thanks

<_< Ball bearing pretty much means there is less resistance for it to spin, thus a faster spool usually results from a ball-bering setup. Given that it still spins like any other non-BB turbo a BOV will do the same in both instances, which is preventing backflow back into the turbo.
