Default turbo without 450cc injectors or S-AFC ?

I have just finished the majority of the install. Every part is on and ready to go. I need to know one thing before cranking it up though.

I have an FMU, FPR and 255lph fuel pump installed. Can I start the engine up and drive without having the larger injectors or the Safc hooked up yet?

I don't see why this wouldn't work at only 5psi but your insight will help.

Get back to me....

OMG!!! NO DON"T START IT UP AT ALL!!!!!! You will lean it out and blow it up within 5 miles!!!!

Hehe, just kidding. Do you have any gauges? If that is a 12:1 FMU you should be fine. As long as it doesn't detonate and it has plenty of fuel you should be fine. If it sputters or backfires or if it feels hesitant, let off.

I have the vortech 12:1 FMU the AEM FPR and the walbro 255lph pump in tank. I have the A/F ratio gauge, Boost gauge, and oil psi gauge. I am also running the HKS EVC boost controller which I accidentally picked up in KPa readout. Anyway, are there anymore guidelines I should maintain?

I would keep the FPR regulator set low. The FMU will add enough fuel without it. If you leave it too high it will make your car idle like crap. Keep the stock setting on fuel pressure and keep an eye on the chezzy A/F gauge. Have fun and good luck.

is there a lock out rate on stock injectors? This was an issue on my eclipse. The fuel injectors pushed to the limit until they froze. Give me what ever info you can on this so I can start it up.

Also, if you could help me on another issue. What wire is the RPM signal on the SAFC...the install for Jspec integra says the RPM wire connects to the position which in US spec is the ignition output. Can this be correct on the US spec?

I ran a set of stock injectors at about 110 psi for about 2 weeks and they took a ---- on me. They were very old and abused though. This was 110 constant psi, not FMU psi. You should be fine with the FMU and STOCK fuel pressure settings at VAC.

The green wire is the rpm signal. www.apexi.com should have all the information you would need for that.

I understand that the green wire is the RPM wire but....I don't know which wire on the ECU to tap into. There is not and RPM sensor...only the Throttle Position, Vehicle speed sensor. The Apex pinout for the J Spec item says the green wire connects to the A21 connector which is the ignition sensor on A-Spec integras....

can the Ignition sensor give the RPM signal?

What is your ECU number?

do you plan on ditching the fmu when you get the afc and injectors?

if you only run like 5psi the fmu is probably all you need. Get to 7 or 8 psi and the afc and 450's are good but then you wont need a FMU

just follow the diagram. if it is not right, you'll know because you won't have an rpm signal
