AFC and 450cc injectors. What else.

AFC and 450cc injectors. What else.
I plan on running a t25 and resonably low boost on my stock d16. I have pretty much the whole set up figured out except for the fuel management. I know I want to use an AFC hack with a SAFC and 450 DSM Injectors but what else to I need to do. Do I need to retard the timing to do this? Should I run one of the MSD Boost Timing Masters or can I just retard the timing from the distributer. If so how much? Thanks

for low boost you probly dont need the BTM,
just retard around .8 degrees at the dizzy
run a .035 plug gap with a step colder plug
and make sure you have that afc and injectors running right.
to be on the safe side you can install a walbro intank,
it cant hurt to upgrade your fuel pump afterall,
I've heard of stock tanks failing to hold up, mostly on older model civics though.
and i'm not talking FMU setups(an intank would be required for that imo).

Tad pretty much covered it all if your going to run the "hack" at 8 psi. The BTM wouldn't be a bad investment if you plan on cranking up the boost in the future. You can retard timing at the distributor, but low end power will suffer.

Wait are you saying that i don't have to retard timing at all? Sorry to be so nooblike but im really quite ignorant when it comes to this time of things. And no, I deffinatly don't plan on cranking up the boost. Its a stock d16 with over 160k miles.

Try it at stock timing setting. You might not have to retard timing at 8 psi if you run colder plugs and high octane fuel. When you run the car make sure theres no detonation. If there is, you'll have to retard the timing at the distributor unless you get the BTM.
