Default Turbo setup

i'm looking to have a custom turbo kit for my JDM b18c type-r engine with a stock c.r 11:1..
so which turbo should i go for? i'm looking for a 2nd hand turbo.. Maybe a CT24?
How much boost can this engine withstand? 8psi? 9psi?

I think that C/R is a little high for turbo. People have done it, but its dangerous and a JDM b18c spec R is a pricey motor. I'd sell it. Swap in a b18a/c from a gsr or ls and boost that.

Or build the r motor. Throw some 8:1 forged pistons and some fatty forged rods and go to town. This is probably not the route you want to take, but it would be better than boosting with 11:1 compression.

B18C5 is not good to boost....I'd sell it and build up a B18b with the money and still have enough left over for a healthy T3/T4. just my $0.03

I would have said that. But he might as well sell it, get the b18b/a. The money he gets for the b18c5 would cover all costs, probably.
