Default Turbo Manifolds

What are the main differences between Log style manifolds and those crazy long *** equal length ones, like the one on Jeff's race ZC?

Why is one better than the other?

the log manifold is a design used to save air conditioning and basically mass produce them.
The equal length is better at spooling the turbo and better for performance. That's all I know

Actually the "crazy long *** equal lenght" headers he's talkning about would cause more lag. but better performance

a lot has to do with exhaust pulses. In a log style, the pulses smack into each other and cause more backpressure and reduced flow. With an equal length mainfold, the gases are introduced to each other much smoother. Gas velocities remain high, which improves responses, and reduces backpressure.

But the pipes are soo much longer on the one he had a picture of the time it would take to for the exhaust to get to there would still be longer than on a log style manifold.
