Default ? for turbo gods only

fellas, you've been a big help so far.

got a question for you. i'm piecing together a turbo kit for my saturn and i'm using the T25 2nd gen. want around 210hp. figure 290cc/min will do it at 8psi if i run the pressure from the walbro up a bit.

i read the thread on here about which turbo's wastegate vents at which pressure and some of you have been kind enough to give me a direct answer but i got another question.

in alldata (time guide I use at our shop), the spec says the rod for the wastegate should move at 6.8 psi. i've verified that it does start to move at that psi with a pressure tester.

you guys told me that it vents at 8 psi but will go up to 10 or so with what the factory mitsu vehicle's EBC makes it to do.

question...

not real clear on how the EBC for the stock mitsu controls. does it control the 8psi and then up to 10 on certain conditions present, OR, is that wastegate only going to allow me to boost to 8psi without the aid of the EBC from a stock mitsu setup (which is what I want)?

my goal is to run ONLY 8psi due to not wanting to run management for the injectors. because of this, i am stuck with the size i need and not going any larger for startup and cruise problems from too much fueling.

i rely on good info here...help a brutha out.

You set a boost controller and it limits or "bleeds" the vacuum kind of tricking the WG into thinking it's at 8psi or whatever it's stock setting is and it actually is a higher amount. I'm a little confused on your question though.

Turning the fuel pressure up will cause the same problems you listed just like a larger cc injector will. Unless your using a FMU, but you did'nt say any thing about a RR FPR.

If you dont have control over your fuel you will hate your turbo setup.
Fix that first.
