Supposedly the m10 1.8 is a better boost canidate than the m20 2.5 The m20 have rocker are trouble and timing belts instead of chains. There are many people (mostly 2002 guys) who coaxed 300hp on stock internals out of the m10.

o u have the 1.8, my friends is the 2.5L dinan had bought the car from bmw and turbo'd it brand new, he bought it a while back, a couple years ago the turbo was upgraded from whatever one they used to a ballbearing t28, dinan has some black box in the glove box for fuel managment, someone needs to make a freeware program for tuning them that ---- is so expensive.anyways the dinan on 10psi rapped my friends m3 i have a vid of it too. he turned the boost to 13psi and it can't keep traction in 3rd gear now haha. the rear wheel drive is pretty sick boostn if it wasnt a honda id turbo a m3 or anyother e36 style, bmws r nice and comfortable and i feel safe going fast
