Default internal wastegate question

New to turbo, don't hate me. I have a greddy 18g internally wastegated turbo (i know, greddy pos right? well i got it for REALLY cheap) but anyway, How much should the wastegate flapper move when I push/pull on the wastegate arm? The arm itself is threaded with a nut on it-- what does tightening the nut do (it was loose when i got it) Thanks in advance, and sorry for the noob question

If your actuator is mounted to the turbo/body, you should thread the arm so that the flapper is somewhat tight. You shouldn't really be able to open the flapper by hand.
