dude i used to own actualy i had a 89 toyota pick upand put whats called a 2lt which it stand for 2.4turbo diesel any ways this was back in 96 and what i remenber was that since its a in line enginethere wasa pipe that went from the trottle to the turbo did not i repeat did not have a intercoller just to the turbo from the trottle and the filter inle there is a place in california called watanabe wilminton i beleve they carrie this toyota turbo diesel engines from japan maybe u can ask them to send u a pictue or look on some toyota archives the 79-87 did come with turbodiesel engine i remenber my dad owning a couple of them any ways you can see how its set up because i know you dont need the intercoler for the diesel your datsun engine must be a sd20 or sd22 it says on the block hope this helps
