No sense in a turbo larger than your goals, especially on that pile.

Okay in defense of this fruit trying to turbo an Aveo...hondas are gas mileage cars, toyotas are gas mileage cars, so are nissans for the most part. My point is all the cars we work on for the most part are economy cars. If you want to tell him he is dumb for wanting to turbo a 1.6 liter aveo motor go around to anyone who has a d-series motor, or a b16 and tell them they are dumb for turboing daily driver 1.6 liter motors. If everyone here turbo'd a car that was built to be fast it wouldn't be homemadeturbo.com. Go for it bro turbo the Aveo. push a little more power out of that turd, a friend of mine had an aveo in high school holy crap he couldn't even go on the highway it wouldn't top 50.

yeah but they are pretty fun they remind me of a gocart like when you are a kid, you know with a lawnmower engine and a centrifical clutch only went about 25-30mph but fun as hell
i think some coilovers and about 5-8psi of boost so it's arround 160-180whp it would be great fun
but i was thinking about telling the guy to order a wet nitrous kit with 35 and 50hp jets so that he can get a general idea of the power that the turbo will add and when he has the turbo running about 180whp a 35shot will take him to arroun 220 and a 50 will be arround 240whp or so but allot of torque im hoping to run low 14's with like 5psi on street tires im just going to have a hard time finding a clutch to hold almost 3x the power of stock and halfshafts

but i agree with you 100%
tho i might just try to talk him in to buying a $500-600 civic and a $400-500 turbo setup and hope for about 200whp and high 13's on some shitty 8inch slicks i got in the garage

dose anybody know where i could find forged internals or clutches or halfshafts or anything that would be a factor when adding that much power to such a small engine
