Re: Turbo 4AGE
No i havent got the megasquirt setup yet, my buddy mike is going to bring it by this weekend. Then i have to figure out how to set it up and make it work. Which is going to be a joke. I have got a bit more done on the car though. Oil pan drain back is welded in, all sorts of small odds and ends like oil fittings and FPR stuff is sorted out. Started figuring out the gauges and finished off the manifold. I got more done, but right now cant think of what it was.
Ive been so overworked and tired lately, i think ill get some stuff actually completed this weekend if all goes well. Must sleep.
And i have to appologize to all of you for the lack of ****. I fucked up and for that im truely sorry. Hopefully this makes up for it.

Re: Turbo 4AGE (now with 50% more ****!)
fine bitches here's the secret.
on my first setup i used an SDS fuel piggyback. i believe it was one of the first SDS systems out back in 1999 or so. i kept the distributor and i hacked the AFM (by removing the circuit board from the AFM (eliminating the bulky flapper housing) and jumping a circuit) for timing retard/advance. the ignition part of my setup was completely stock. i just spliced up a gm map sensor and kept the stock GZE injectors. i could send you a pic or some schematics if you want. i sold the SDS to Astrovannin on here and he decided not to use it. you could prolly pick it up from him.
and posts like these remind me that........i was the first boosted corolla gts on HMT westside, westside.

You should be able to find a basemap for that fairly easily. I had to do all my basemaps manually, ------- time consuming. The MS looks fairly easy to tune. I'm thinking of running MS on the wife's mustang when I get the 408 together

Re: Turbo 4AGE (now with 50% more ****!)
Well since the megasuirt setup is so cheap and has everything needed to go on the car i think im going to use it. My main concern is that my fuel pump and injectors wont keep up, but once i start it up we'll see how my A/F ratio is and ill go from there. Im thinking a 7m fuel pump with skyline rb26 440cc injectors, im pretty sure they would fit, but have not checked yet. The reason i say skyline injectors is a buddy has a set i can have for free, which is the best kind of purchase.
myAE86turbo you get a thumbs up for even having a corolla in the 90's, it wasnt until recently every moron with an SR5 thinks hes some JDM drifter with his mad tight open dif carbed power. Its a shame to even think the corolla is becoming a mainstream car, but its getting close. Ive always like Toyotas for several reasons, reliability, price range, ease of repair and most importantly they're simple cars. The AE86 chasis in my opinion is one of the best platforms to start with, it needs a fair bit in the upgrades department, but it has the basics rear discs, light weight, high reving twin cam engine and really cool lumbar pump thingy.
And yes that manifold is one of my high points in my life, i dont think ill ever make anything as perfect.

Just make sure you run a dot3 oil feed line to that turbo. Im running Earls Racing feed line and already have 10K+ miles on the turbo. Doesn't smoke, very very very little shaft play, and spools by 3500/4000 still on my LS. Get ready to collect your friends money/beer.
