This might be a stupid question. But.. is there anyway to test my wastegate to see what it is set at before i install it?

 

Hook up a bicycle pump with guage and see what pressure it starts to open at.

 

yep.

i took some brass fittings rigged up a fuel pressure gauge and my compressor to the WG, the FPG would tell me pressure and i could adjust the regulator on the comressor

i think its in the FAQ. go look

 

on a similar note, i tried to do this with my bike pump but the gauge doesnt start reading before 20psi. do you guys have a pump that reads low psi levels or something?

Otherwise i gotta buy a shitty kmart/walmart pump, cut the tube in half, put a T in and hook up some sort of gauge that reads lower PSI ammounts...probably just use a boost gauge....

 

Or... If you're not sure, Just buy a new spring.

That way you'll know exactly what it is.

They're not that expensive.

Just be sure that you trust the person you buy it from.
