i didnt read this whole thread (and i know ill prob be bitched at beacuse of it) but to me it seems that both of you are basing your opinions on those of someone else. i could write a book telling the whole world hot dogs are made of smarties and old car batteries, and a lot of people would believe me if i threw in some half way intelegent words and used a few more commas in my sentences. the opinions of one single person mean dick. most times opinions of the masses mean dick but whats that to stop someone from believing what you do? in many peoples opinion its a good idea to offshore work. is it? who knows? sure its costing hundreds of thousands jobs but its bringing the cost of widgets down, so? which would you rather have? which would the majority of the US, of the world, rather have whether they speak it or not. i know its been said but it all comes back to those dollar signs. those books, someone saw a shot to make a few bucks and went for it even if it was all mindless BS with no actual evidence to support it. though they have two totaly polar opposite views people still believe them. we as civilians will never know whats REALLY going on no matter how hard we dig and how much we think we know or how many books we read. there is always something hidden from us because we dont have those few bucks that it takes to keep think hush

Huh, and here I thought I was doing a damn fine job of thinking for myself, and calling bullshit where I see it with no help or input from anyone else, but apparently I'm either parroting or being influenced by someone else despite everything.

If not, you should. I don't have time to explain it right now, but if you look you'll see that Ford is trying to create a real honest to god world economy type situation, and everyone else is trying to sell their grandmother overseas for a dollar with no concern about our future. If you are interested in the way things actually work, as opposed to snowjobs and LIES, you should definitely take the time to read it!
Globalization has only increased GDP, and really has little to do with inflation..

Take a class or something, you are obviously uneducated in the matter.

Explain the disappearing middle class in America.

There are several economic models, garn, has it occurred to you that the one you learned about in class is a pile of ----, and every Value Judegment concerning it you were spoon fed is invalid?
