Default stupid turbo project

:P
Hey,
First of let me say i realize this is dumb ***. I have a friend with a small street bike and have convinced him to try setting up a turbo charger sytem on it over the winter"it snows here". I'm basicaly wondering if this is even posible. I have acess to a realy cheap 3000 twin turbo. I think if i take one turbo it should be almost small enoghe for the motorcyle engine. Can i also use the car's waste gate and blowoff valve and such. And also if these parts will work and a stand alone system. Thanx for anything and don't give me to much crap as the whole point of this is crazy power with little money.

I don't know what you would use for fuel management, but everything else should work fine. I tried to link you a video of a Turbo Busa, but the link is down for bandwidth issues. If you do go through with this, make sure you take LOTS of pics and post them here and maybe they can be added to the tech pages.

BTW, welcome to the site.

The toughest part about building a turbo kit for a bike is, the turbo manifold and the intercooler. There have been a few turbo bikes during the years...some honda's and etc....there are tons of sites for turboing a bike....the intake plenum and manifold is also pretty expensive ...but if you can make your own that would save you some money.
You got to plan in advance if your going carb or fuel injected.

turboing a bike sounds good as hell but is really a bad idea unless you want to spend a lot of money on suspension parts. Bikes tend to roll themselves over when a turbo is added just because they add too much power for the weight of the bike. If you wanted to just run like 2-4 psi that should be fine but I wouldnt plan on going higher unless you plan on working on the suspension.
