Re: stock fuel pump limit

My stock fuel pump maxes out at around 6 psi with *L* of all things a stock evo8 turbo. that I love totally worth the mods to make it work. and 510cc injectors. so i'm only running 4 psi right now until I get my new pump in. And I have a few other issues I'm working out before I up the boost to 10psi.

I got a xenocron pump as well. I can't wait for my Ostrich to get here.

I'll pretty much repeat on what Quadnie and Minor Threat said...rewire. Have you guys actually seen the stock wiring up close and personal? You'd be lucky if it was a 16/18g wire. 10g wire on a stock pump makes a difference. Hell, I even run a walbro 255lph with a 10g rewire. Just make sure to turn your rail pressure down. ;)

Is there a write up on how to do the rewire anywhere? I would like to do it but I need to learn how to wire a relay. Ive never done it before.

They have diagrams on them. Pretty much you either ground or 12v one set of poles to open/close the other set of poles. Google it if it still makes no sense.

Damm WTF you are making sure everything is perfect. I respect that. Whats crazy is you will do all this research, upgrade the wiring and the fuel pump, and then when your putting in the new pump you will be smoking a cigarette next to the open tank in car FTW!!!

;D
