Re: stock fuel pump limit
I kinda figured that dont worry. Get it asap. You wont be dissapointed. ------- easy on hondas. Typically a 20 minute job. For you, a hour. :)

Re: stock fuel pump limit
sounds about right

Re: stock fuel pump limit
once you get the assembly out, theres usually 2 wires, a sock, the line for the fuel and maybe a return you have to ---- with. zip tie that ---- where it won't fall off, and as haynes says
installation is opposite of removal |
Re: stock fuel pump limit
240whp, just rewire the stocker straight from the battery with a relay and some decent wire and spend the 70 dollars saved on beer and hookers.

Re: stock fuel pump limit
well i have a bigger engine but im using a 255LPH (600hp) walbro pump (gss341) with 570cc seimens injectors, stock fuel pump shouldnt really be pushed, but it can be used up untill like 8psi (depends on car)
what ive learnt is, when you start boosting, things go wrong... what would you rather replace, injectors? or the headgaskets/engine every few months from it leaning out and detonating! i paid $120 AUD for my fuel pump new incl delivery (ummmmm like $80 usd?) and $400 AUD for my injectors (new) probbly set to purchase a rising rate fuel reg later aswell despite running a 2 bar map sensor + retuned ecu... bottom line, when you push the pump... expect failure |
Re: stock fuel pump limit
watch out usin those 255's on stock regulators, i've had problems with super high fuel pressure due to the regualtor not having enough return flow, it's easy to remedy with the stock regulator, or if you plan on changin it

Re: stock fuel pump limit
so should i just use the stock wire with the evo pump then?
|
Re: stock fuel pump limit
yes. there are just 2 wires. power and ground. e z money.

Re: stock fuel pump limit
what the ---- is this ----? I don't post much but I can see that this forum has become a shame in comparison to when I used to run it.
There is a frequent poster asking for help and for the most part a bunch of noobs chime in. Yes certain variables will work that have been suggested (DSM parts).. BUT what is neglected here is the free mods. You guys should hope that Mr Bone posts again or maybe someone shares a writeup for stock hardware with simple boost. Rewiring a stock or upgraded part is essential when you're looking to exceed the natural limitations. The DSM crowd knows this and so does are high HP fetching members like Ross. Can the rest of you learn from this? I own a new xenocron pump (which is actually for sale for cheap) but the focus should be on basic mods done to our cars for simple boost - simply because I have a few spare pumps ready to install. I'm done with the thread, I hope it snowballs from here. |
