Thanks for the insepration. my best friend and I are about to do the same thing or at least we're bullshitting about it and the major drawback was obviously the engine management. I didn't think there was a "non-expensive" route for a boosted Spec V setup. I am looking at it a bit differently now. I hope your boy autoboost has some more of those mani's laying around.

I checked out Autoboost's auctions and he didn't have one of those manifolds listed. Do you have a way of getting in touch with him? Think he'll fab a few if there was a demand for a couple? Let us know.

He's got a shippment of 20 comming in, but 14 are for me, keep checking Ebay, PM me and I might be able to squeeze you in if you can come up with the funds real quick. I picked up an extra one, looking for a block, getting an extra turbo, wastegate, so I can redisegn my downpipe ( way eaiser when your not rushed to get your daily driver back on the road and actually seeing what you're doing without putting it on and taking it off 6000 times), recirc the WG, sell a few on the side to fund other projects.

Well, this thing is going to under go a huge make over with a real budget and name brand parts supplied by a large company. I'm going to be redesigning and fabbing the prototype for a production kit. This is awsome, but I not going to go into any details right now other than to say I'm stoked.

If that was my car, and the stocker ECU was taking care of the fuel so far, Id try and find a crank/cam angle sensor and use it to dial the timing back a few degrees if it was needed. Hook up a stethoscope, keep andding boost until you notice the ECU is unable to supply enough fuel, and molest the cam/carnk sensors until you hear no ping.

Then post vids of some tasty dirty 2nds........

I still owe $10,000 on the car so I'm not going to modify crank signals to take care of pinging beause of maxed out injectors, lol.

The whole setup is getting redone, with "real" parts. I'm fabbing the prototype for a production kit for a large company, so forget the stethoscope, it's laptops, diagnostic scaners, dataloggers, dyno time, and a whole lot of doing it right.

Moral of the story, do clean work. Company sees work, company likes work, design kit/parts for company, cut deal, get a new set up free, royalities and dyno time
