Alright, i've taken this thing apart/cleaned it, and cannot get this snap ring back on for the live of me, I have 5 snapring pliers and none of them will even fit it. Does anyone have some tips on how to get this bastard back on? When I took it off I just jimmy'd it off with a coupple screwdrivers.

ill have to wait for the pic, but on the 14b i just used a pair of small needle nose pliers and a good grip, because im too cheap to buy snap ring pliers.

They are a pain, and you have to put one side in then compress the ring, then i usually tap it in with a big flat screwdriver and a hammer to make sure its set in there good.

 

I havent tried it with a needlenose, i'll do that. I've already almolst died trying to get this pos on, its really starting to **** me off.

 

I used a huge set of snap ring pliers since all the smaller ones just broke

 

i would spray the ---- out of it with penitrating lube

 

wtf? I already have it off, just need to get it back on what would penetrating lube do?? besides I've done too much penetrating lately and my lube is gone.

 

yes, they are a pain, I used some pliers to hold them then had friend tap slowly with a big flat head, it took a few tries, a few beers and a few hours, good luck.

 

Take that ring with you and get a pair of snap ring pliers that'll fit.
