Question. Is this a knock off?

The real HKS snap ring is made from some thick *** spring steal. IT is kind of a bitch to put in, but you need to have a good pair of snap ring pliers. I used some cheap *** ones from kragen. Wow that snap ring really sorts through the cheap ----. The kragen one broke off. I used some craftsman ones and it went right in.

The only thing that worked with me was 3 sets of hands.... one set holding the pipe, one set holding the BOV, and one guy working with the ring. I jammed one end of the ring into where it is supposed to be, and i carefully used a wide flathead screw driver and "compressed" the ring until it snapped in. I said careful because once or twice while attempting this the screw driver sliped and almost took my friends fingers off.
