Default The small build before the big one (What is a 56k again?)

Hi folks here is my build,

If you only want to see the pics go lower in the thread. Otherwise, good read!

Few weeks ago I've started to build my car. It was a real bitch to do. Nothing was fitting right, I had to

while(for ever)
{
cut
weld
test fitting
}

every ------- pieces I had.... I never had that much problems doing something on a car. So I started saturday, but the only thing I did is trying to fit the manifold.

Sunday, I've started at 9h am and finished at 9h pm. I did a lot more things, but due to fitment issue it wasnt enough to finish that day.

Monday (it was holiday), I had a list of about 15 things to do and did only 5 things... Ok it was the longer things to..(oil line fitement, downpipe, intercooler piping and some other things), but damn I was in tabarnak I was so pissed off because of the time I lost fiting all my pieces...

Since I didn't had the time to finish, I waited until sunday to continue the build. I almost finish that day, but the injectors wasn't installed yet.

Saturday, the glory day, I've installed my injectors, put the rom (TE) I did in my ostrish, but that bitch of a car don't want to start (oh, I'm really really surprised...). Removed the resitor box and it start (---- Yeah!). After a week or too, Lowerit started a thread about DSM 450 and resistor box asking if he need it or not. Well read it if you want https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=96884.0.

Cliff note:

YOU NEED THE RESISTOR BOX!

For now, my setup is:

Integra 91 2dr
B18a1 stock, LS tranny with stock clutch
Stock fuel pump
Precision Turbo SC34 .63 exaust .60 compressor
DSM 450cc
HKS style BOV
Tial 38mm wastegate with 7psi spring
Miniram manifold
Ebay intercooler and piping
Ebay oil line kit (came with gasket, bolt, SS line and so many other thing for 100$)
Oil sandwish
Chipped PR4
Ostrish
Basemap made with basemapper deluxe from Xenocron
LM-1 for tuning (not tried yet)

Next year setup (I already have those pieces)

Eagle rod
81.5mm Forged Ross piston
LS head:
Port and polish
Crower turbo cam
Crower dual spring and retainer
SS valve (not sure of the brand, but 4 of them are JG)
3 angles valve job

So here are the pics, no vid for now and anyway, in 4th at 4rpm the clutch slip so bad... By the way I have no pics of the 2 last days because I was so frustrated the way it was going...

Before the turbo. I bought the car as is so I didnt choose the color and beam!

I had to weld with this welder because the MIG wasn't at my parent's house The guy that had it came the last day of build to give me the mig welder... I was very happy.......

Fluxcored and JBweld for the win! Note that at this moment it was on the right side.

Where is the fitement problem here?

Damn Teg2boo, you fluxcore so well. Thank you, thank you. Note that the tube is now on the left

Rusty as hell.

Antirust paint FTW!

I had to modify the ebay piping... After all I think that kit was for a 94+ integra, but anyway, I made it fit

I've heated the crossmember and hit it with a hammer because the turbo was hitting it. Made enough room...

The final setup, the car was running at this step.

Fluxcored downpipe. It sucks I did the downpipe in the day I was frustrated so I have no pics of it...

Dog.

Blah.

The mods on the manifold is because it was hiting the radiator... After I did the first mod (change the angle of the WG) I realized that the WG was not fitting with the turbo on it, so I had cut recut and reweld to get the WG on the left instead of right...

Thanks to the members that sold me things, Xenocron for basemapper deluxe and thank you HMT for the general turbo knowledge!

Rip vid to come, but I don't know when...

so your wastegate just dumps at the mani? That's gonna make a mess pretty quickly, my first install pretty much angled the wastegate away from the rad and that was it. Fuckit it worked though.

nice job on the install. I never realized how much ---- I ripped out until I see you do it and leave all that stuff in there. Brings back memories of frustration, I hate doing ---- twice.

What do you mean by "just dumps at the mani" ?

Thanks for the comment. And what I hate more than doing something twice is doing the same thing 4 times... The worst part of the setup was the downpipe.

Have you ever tried to do a downpipe when you can't weld it in place? Welding a 5 bolts patern flange is a pain in the ***. There is like 100 reasons to not get hole aligment

It's sucks that I can't do my clutch this year...

I bought a wastegate flange to dump the exaust lower. When I get out of my car I smell like if I was driving a scooter.

When your wastegate opens, its facing up at your hood and into one of your primary tubes lol.

The wastegate dumps into the engine bay, not into a tube. It may be the angle of the picture... I bought a WG flange from Weir to make a dumptube, cause everytime I drive it I smell like I'm driving a scooter lol

I never got the chance to try it from 1st to 4th-5th... Everytime I have to drive it I get stuck in traffic.

Yeah I see it now, the pic makes it look like it's blocked directly by your mani but 2nd look it's obviously under the mani

I smelled like ---- every time I drove my car for the 1st month or so till I fixed the dump to the ground. now it's minty
