first drive of the GRM car.....errrr wtf.. Help a brother out
got it running last week, finished all the suspension today and brakes and finally drove it.
starts well , idles fine.. but has a wierd stumble at about 4K (I never took it higher)
here is my setup
D16Z6
450's DSM with resistor box
Xenocron basemap
2.5" exhaust , no muffler.
Ching chong intercooler
stock MAP
RB25 turbo
Vitara's
I drove it around the block once and it would die under load , I could def. hear the turbo spool , but 35-4000 rpm it just died , and even back fired once.
all the BS recirc vacuum ---- is gone , just vac lines from the waste gate to the intake , BOV and Adjustable regulator.
I have yet to install the pressure gauge at the rail , if the fuel pressure was too high would it cause the car to run rich?? I didn't get a change to put my wideband in yet , but wanted an idea of where to start.. We leave for flordia next Wed , car goes for paint on Monday.

I had similar problems because of grounds being damaged or missing.
Also when you hooked up the injector box did you make sure all your connections are good.
Just in case and this maybe a long shot, but you preload the timing belt before tightening the tension pulley.
I have had the cam gear jump 1-3 teath that way.

plugs are new , wires are taylor 8mm jobbies , resistor box is good , no codes..
Does the speedo not working affect the motor (it doesn't work , not connected)
I worry that the Fuel press reg is cranked up too high. I have a gayge for the rail , still need to install it.
