Default Rod length help for ls/vtec setup

Hello people. I needed help with getting the right rods and pistons to get as close to a 8.8CR for my ls/vtec setup for boost.

Do I need to get ls rods with Ls rod length? And what CR rating do I need to get for my pistons? BTW, I am using a b16 head with flat faced S2 valves as I am currently running a high CR N/A build. I dont want to change the valves. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

you want to modify your compression ratio, do it with the pistons! dont ---- with the rod legnth. only rods that will fit a LS crank are LS rods and B16A rods... you need LS rods... custom pistons are cheaper than custom rods...

Thanks for the advice. I guess you are right about the rods. So what pistons do you suggest for the CR that I want for my setup?

There's a compression calculator in the Hybrid forum, and you can find specs of the pistons online. Pop the figures in the calculator and it'll give you a good estimate.

BTW, you want to buy my friend's brand new Ross Racing pistons? They are low compression, ready for boost.

No, I'm cool. I get dealer prices through JE pistons. So I will go through them. Thankis anyway!
