I am sure you will make it right. You seem to know what you are doing man. You'll be the exception to the rule. can't blame ya. i am always trying to do that too.
You'll see, even a failed attempt is more rewarding that going the usual easy way.
Best of luck in that project and it will be my pleasure to contribute to it.

wow, someone on H-T posted this link for me. Someone with STS actually did a setup similar to what I was thinking of doing. It made some good numbers. O0

I never said the only thing that makes a turbo spin is heat. Keyword in the quote Wikipedia page is "some." Is the extension in the length of the manifold (or whatever you would call it in the case of a rear mount setup) enough to inhibit its efficiency or is that a moot point?

Yah, and the Wikipedia fags keep deleting the definition of Nig Nog I've entered in a dozen or so times. They obviously don't know anything, why are you turning to them?

Other than being different, are there any advantages to rear mount turbos?
I can't really think of any.
The Honda motors are so nicely setup for regular turbos. JMO

www.ststurbo.com has tons of info about it with advantages and disadvantages. If you do the setup properly there are no disadvantages compared to a engine bay style setup.

You've never had to deal with the complete and total lack of underhood room in a B-swapped ED chassis, have you?

FYI, CRX's have more room in the bumper for an IC than Civics do. My front mount isn't particularly large, and I've had to cut the STD bumper all to ---- and back where it'd be total stealth install on a CRX.

Many of the advantages from the STS site are just handwaving and advertising. I don't blame them-they want to sell product.
Of course if you really can't fit a turbo setup under your hood-or it is making it too tight, it is a whole different story and it certainly makes sense to move it remote.
