not sure, i supplied a few turbos for remote setups but i got no come backs!!!

MAybe you should try a t3/t04e 46 trim with stage 1 0.48 a/r turbine. after that, it always possible (and easy) to switch the turbine housing to 0.63 a/r if the downsides of all that piping are finally not too bad on spool up. i just received a customer's dyno chart of 335 whp using this turbo....it made my day.

How much do you guys charge for that .48 turbine T04e? BTW: I dont have my old T3 .48/.60 anymore. :(

To deal with the spool times maybe go with something GT28RS range? But at least on the pair of RMT setups on the Cavaliers, the lag hasn't been that bad. I think he ran a t3 .60/.63 and hit 13.99s on a stock motor and 6 psi. Swapped in a 3400 motor and a t3/t04e (forget the trims/a.r's) and made 328hp on 10 psi and ran mid 12s on street tires. So a huge turbo might not be necessary depending on the power range/power band you want. Oh, and it is very quiet without a muffler after the turbo, I can dig up the video if you want.

new Garrett GT turbos have a new generation of more efficient housings and wheels. They are hard to beat performance wise with a old style turbo.

HOWEVER, the old style t3/t4 turbos have many good sides such as:

-you can MODIFY them with a host of different wheels and housings to adjust their behavior for a given setup (which is good in a "one off" project like yours)

-they can becan rebuilt when they fail. (while GT turbos are disposable)

-They cost around 1/3 what the GT turbos do.

powerwise, the T04e 46 is comparable to the gt28rs. Just compare the charts by yourself. if you see a difference, then ask you if it's worth 700$ !!

When the setup is done, I'll post up results and dyno graphs. I'm going to try it two different ways. Twin turbo and single. Twin with two small snails, such as the T25.

Actually, I might just do the single turbo. We'll see how I like it. :) Blaast, I'll let you know when I am ready to buy. I'm in search of a B16 head right now to throw itr internals into.
