Re: problems with my boosted sohc..
Hes joking you idiot
You have a tune problem
Obviously its a basemap you were given, a general basemap to get your car running, started, etc to either get you to a tuner or for the tuner to start with
You obivously, are running very rich, to much fuel, if you cannot make the adjustments with whatever for of management you went with, then take it to a tuner
That is your only problem, nothing else is wrong, kapieche?

Re: problems with my boosted sohc..
If your not wanting to get it tuned now try another basemap. Yours is junk! The car should at least idle. Tell whom ever makes the basemap your injector size, turbo size, what motor, what size fuel pump, what map sensor your running, and so forth. Once again, get it tuned or have another basemap made by someone else then whom made the one you have now! Then report back if you've still got a problem

Re: problems with my boosted sohc..
here is the diagnostic steps you should be able to run through...
Since you know it wil run at higher RPM you can assume that the ignition system is functioning, and that it has compression. That leaves fuel delivery.
Check your fuel pressure, should be like 45psi, i dont know for sure w/o checking a manual, and I'm not going to, it's your car. If it is too high, figure out why and fix it, then move on.
Check your injector pulse with a noid light. Make sure it blinks. If it doesn't, fix it.
Check your injector duty cycle, some DVOM's will have this feature, buy one. Ask your tuner what the chip is programed for and compare, if they are different check your wiring. If they are the same get a new tune.
I don't know why I wrote this, because what you're going to do is bitch about the MAP sensor not fixing it, then sell the car on ebay.
