Default Just have boosted... Or no? lot of problems ...

SOS Help please!

I just have finished installing my custom turbo in my 1.6VTi. I have gone for 10km probe round. The same feeling as on base B16, noo boost Though very smooth idle and acceleration.
But...Many questions and problems occured:

1.: No boost at all. Perhaps wastegate open all the time or what?
2.: Car smokes like hell. Haven't seen so much smoke yet (5-6 metres long!)Even on idle! Looks white smoke, but i don't think it's headhasket as it smokes since the very first moment i started the turboed civic and headgasket should not melt immediately in 1 sec.
3.: My SMC blinks when i give throttle according to the rpm (blinks faster with increasing rpm). Is this ok?
4.: I get CEL after 20-30secs even on idle! Why?
5: I see lot of oil around turbo manifold adapter. Is this normal? I even smell it burning.

Please, give me suggestions, i don't want to have smoke, CEL! This is horrible

My config:
B16A2, ECU P2T
T3/T4B
Internal wastegate with actuator set at 5.8psi (0.4bar)
390cc DSM injectors (inline 11 Ohm resistors)
Custom manifold, downpipe
Custom FMIC, stainless steel pipng
BOV (out of Talon)
Custom high pressure hydraulic tube for oil feed and return
SMC 500
Boost + A/F gauge

SMC500 set: Idle -30%, 1k: -33% up to 8k5: -26%

IF the turbo was used it may have bad seals. oil is leaking through making it smoke out the exhaust. does the turbo wheel spin freely? are any charge pipes clogged or blocking air flow to the tb? do you have the vacumn lines run correctly to the wg and bov?

My vacuum should be ok as my boost gauge shows vacuum, too and the gauge is moving up 0 in vacuum. Though i have put 2 T fittings (bosst gauge + BOV) in the same vacuum line (between TB and FPR). Is this problem?

About WG vacuum line, i connected the actuator to the compressor house vacuum fitting as this seemed the easiest way.

My oil lines are good as the turbo gets oil. The problem is i see leaking around the turbo manifold adapter plate, though i got burnt, so it might filled the hole.

I go for 4 days vacation now (too bad it was put together just before this), but as i get home i go to someone who bulids turbos to check my turbos seals.

I'll check what code for CEL. Thanks.

But if any more suggestions on smoking, SMC blinking according to rpm (someone who has SMC500), pls, tell me!

Finally i took the turbo to repair and the seals are gone. The reason is simple, the oil return line was too tight as the man whom i ordered it from weld something on the fitting:

This is why i was smoking 10-20 metres.

As soon as i get back my turbo, i reinstall it and deal with CEL. But i suppose the too much smoke in exhaust caused it. I hope at least

Anyway, some more photos http://lordie.fw.hu/Turbo/Civicturbo.html

Do you have any pictures of how close your downpipe runs to your oil line? My damn downpipe is TOUCHING (seems like its pushing up on my oil return fitting on the oil pan...)

I just like to see what others have...

No, my one surely doesn't touch the downpipe. I don't think touching the downpipe with a rubberpipe is a good thing. But as i reinstall the turbo next week, i take a photo for you.

run as fat a return as you can. i think i ran 5/8 id...a real fatty of a return line. you want no kinks and a direct downward run to the pan with the fitting in the pan lower than any part of the line.

your return line looks to be 1/4 id and that's about the size you're running for feed...bad. hence, the blown seals in the turbo.

The standard fitting on the turbo is 20mm wide, 18mm inside. So, I'll use a 20mm inner diameter rubber line. I hope this is enough. 5/8 is how much in mm?

I reinstalled everything, I'm using 3/4inch inner diameter for return line. But i still smoke (not that much as before, but still i do).

I get the CEL code again (on idle, too). 41. Primary O2 sensor. Do you think it is caused by too rich fuel? My gauge shows full rich even on idle. I try to reduce it a bit.

But i smoke, too, so this 41 might have been caused by oil in exhaust, too, hasn't it?

Next step, i get the exhaust into pieces and try to clean it. I'm sure it is full of oil.
