up high is good, just make sure its not too high as to make the oil have to go up-hill to get into the pan. My turbo hangs pretty low so I only have about a 3.5in return and its all down.

The way I've come to think is best, is to take your oil pan off, put 4 quarts of gasoline in it. Mark it on the outside (make sure the pan is level). Then you know about where the oil level will be. Put the whole turbo kit on and do the return line LAST. This will allow you to see where you have to work with, and also what angle you can ideally locate the pan fitting.
I know we all like to take the pan off and just put it at the top, (I've done it too) but I think this new method should work out the best. Return lines are a bitch 99% of the time (getting them to fit/function properly) but doing it this way will probably allow you to nail it the first time.

How many of us have done our return lines more than once?
