I bet you have to remove the exhaust and it is a pretty messy job.
Does anyone have any tips on how to keep it less messy?

take off downpipe.
drain oil, let it completly drain.
remove all the bolts, don`t forget the bolts hidden behind the flywheel cover.
tap that ---- out
