oil leak on return
I have JB weld just on the outside of the pan. The barb is pretty well threaded in though, there is basically no room for leakage but a thick bead of jb weld around the outside of the barb did the trick.

Exactly. Just make sure the hole for the barbed fitting is perfect and let it thread, little bit of JB weld... no leakage.
Worst comes to worst you could always weld a steel nipple on or something to that effect.

mine's jb welded on there too, I have a leak, but I can't say for sure it was the jb weld. I cut the ---- out of my thumb on the cross member when I was tightening the hose clamp with a screw driver and I think I just said ---- it and left it not tight all the way. but the last time I changed my oil I tightened it with a wrench so we'll see if the leak is still there.

it looks like you used three tubes of jb weld.
