do you know from experience that the pickup is needed? Its funny...i've been running a y7 pan on my y8 for over a year with the y8 pickup and have had no oil problems...

the parts guy at the dealer told me they were different but when i check it online they are the same part number so who knows
better safe then sorry

This is my best bet I think. Thanks fellas! However, drill and tap calls my name with the outrageous price for bits and taps. God willing, first time is a charm and the bits and taps aren't junk. Thanks again for all the input!
