Default oil drain

Hey HMT,
I have a question on the oil drain.
How big (in diameter) is the norm for the oil drain?
I am really getto-riffic, and creative at the same time, kinda borderline altistic .
anyways, I use the oil sump pump from a b series and cut it and welded it to the oil pan.
But now Im thinking it maybe too small.
what you guys think?
