b18c1 high boost
ok so i want to create a 300 whp 95 civic. I have been doing some research and a b18c looks like what i want due to ease of instalation. I think it takes like 16 psi to create 300 whp so what should i get. I know i need to build the motor but with what. What compression pistons should i get aswell as springs valves cams and anything else i might need. i realy have been liiking so i would apreciate the help

Re: b18c1 high boost
haha with the right turbo, you could make 300whp on a gsr with single digit boost.
i made 282 whp on my gsr on only 9 psi with a 60 trim.
i had a 14 psi spike on the dyno and it netted me 319.9 hp
16 psi my ***. dont just pull numbers,

Re: b18c1 high boost
just get pistons and boost it to 12 psi. tune it lean but not too lean. You dont want egts over~1400 degrees. get a good tuner to take care of you. Get yourself a good turbo. learn a lil more about turbos and how they work before deciding what you want. Learn to read compressor maps etc. It sounds to me that you have a good bit of research still to do. No need for retainers and all that bullshit. Is this a race car? do you plan on making the rev limit beyond 8500?

Re: b18c1 high boost
NO its not a race car just one that needes to drop in to the high 12s. And i have done research and when i was done with the hundred formulas 16psi on a gsr putout aprox 312 whp.

Re: b18c1 high boost
dude 14 psi was 319.9 hp. your formulas are ----, and so is your short mentality.
psi doesnt make horsepower, cfm does.
a larger compressor makes more cfm and requires less psi to match the level of a smaller sized compressor.
my 60 trim made 319.9 hp at 14psi. for instance
if i had a ball bearing gt35r i probably woulda made 360 whp at 14 psi.
or on the other hand, if i was using a t3 60/63 i probably woulda made 265 whp at 14 psi
you need to get a rope and hang yourself by your calculations.

Ok i hung my self i dont know everything and i did think that psi = Hp so my bad So if im am looking to make 300 whp out of a b18 what turbo should i use and at what psi. And if i get new pistons like B16CRXT said i dont have to upgrade cams valves ect.

Re: b18c1 high boost
for 300 reliable hp i recommend a nice 81mm 9:1 compression forged piston and some eagle rods.
couple that with a array of turbos.
if you like good spool and good street manners, go with a t3/t4 57 trim.
if you want a middle of the road spooler but some descent stram up top go with a t3 60-1
but if your gangster, and dont mind a 5500rpm spool go with a precision sc6152e

Re: b18c1 high boost
the bigger the slug, the less effort it will take to reach 300whp.
but if i did internals, which i have, my gal would be 400whp.
i had a t3/t4e 60 trim on my gsr and personally, thats a great turbo for a street driven monster.
