I've got a TD04 (auto Eclipse) turbo. Things I have:

*high pressure tranny line (oil)
*oil fittings out of block - (BSP-NPT adaptor, T, etc)
*coolant lines - regular fuel lines

I need to get
* inbound fitting sizes (into the turbo)
* outbound fitting sizes (out of the turbo to pan)
* inbound coolant sizes (into and out of turbo)

I'm planning to buy this today (will be bringing my turbo to fit) so any help right away would be much appreciated.

BTW, another (probably dumb Q) are the cooresponding holes always across from each other? Ie. if the oil out of the turbo is on one side, the oil in should be on the other side - right across? Same goes for coolant? 2 of the holes were pluged with a bolt on my turbo so I'm trying to figure this out to.

just remember its gravity fed and that should help with detmerining which hole is which, plus the oil inlet is threaded.

So I unscrewed the 2 bolts a bit to reveal holes in the middle of them. I'm assuming these are banjo bolts...and I'm assuming the smaller bolt across from the non treaded oil return is the oil in. The larger banjo bolt must be for the coolant in...

So, I've never seen these types of bolts...how to I connect my 5/16 line into the banjo bolts.

I was at Home Depot but I couldn't figure out what fittings I would even use to get into the little hole on the banjo bolt.

The banjo bolts have little fittings on them right? or did you not get the pipes with the turbo? basically what we do on our setups, is use the stock oil feed/coolant pipes (banjos) chop them off, flare the ends of them, and slip the hose right over them, and clamp them down. Works perfect. The reason we do this is, because most of the turbos have metric threads on them, and its hard to find brass fittings that just screw right in.

I didn't get the pipes/small fittings with the pipes. The only thing it came with were the banjo bolts (bolts with holes in them).

So are you saying that I should chop off the top of the bolt, before the small hole, attach a fitting onto the cut bolt? If so, how do I connect the cut bolt to the flared fitting?

if you have the hollow bolts go to napa and get the banjo fittings with nipple fittings on them and the washer gaskets. the part number begins with cbr. good luck.

 

No, I'm saying get the factory banjo bolt pipes that come with the turbo and use those... Or "Make" some brass fittings work, it will be the wrong size, but sometimes they will thread in a stay.
