I've seen people rock them for a while. You just have to support the turbo.
The rapid heating and cooling cycles is what's going to cause it to crack after that.
The quality of their stainless steel and the welds are ok for the headers and exhaust but on a turbo manifold, not really something i'd trust long term.
There's locals running ssauto manifolds (bottom mounted tho, properly braced as well) on their hondas that they've had for a year or so but $350 is pretty steep. $150 more and you can have a WAY nicer peice. Maybe for the same price as the obx joint.
The wastegates seem to be of fair quality but rule of thumb is always to pressure test actuation, take it apart and inspect everything, put it back together and re-test the air pressure.
Just incase anyone brings this thread back up, this tidbit of VERY common knowledge is here.
I'm still a newb and i know the deal with china ----. You roll the dice with alot of the parts they sell that seem like an absolute ------- bargin.
We have retards on rx7 club trying to sell china manifold, wastegate and large frame turbo combos (usually the ssauto t70) for $700 to $1100 WITOUT SHIPPING.
"Not sure what brand it is but it came from a running car" Reels them in every time and i shun the sellers for that. It's so fucked up to rip people off like that.
