nowii, it seems like you actually work on your car, which is a good thing. Maybe you should slow down a bit and start researching different options for your engine. I think you should look into running some fuel management such as uberdata or crome, i understand you cannot at the moment with the vx ecu but it looks like you are interested in swapping engines. Another thing, putting a different intake manifold on the vx engine would be a bad idea IMO, the engine has a manifold designed for it, and it is aimed at economy. The combustion chambers in the vx are dinky and it only runs 12 valves under 2300 rpm and runs extremely lean... The manifold shouldn't be as straightforward as a normal d manifold swap either, since the vx has egr that spans the intake runners.
