Default Not Homemade, but still need Help with turbo.

Hows it going guys. I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I live in CA and with emissions testing and what not, a homemade turbo is not an option for me unfortunately. I am however looking into the edelbrock performer X turbo kit. My question is this I have a not vtec sohc, d16y7. The kit is made to work with a d16y8 with vtech. Will is still work for my vehicle? I dont see why it shouldnt. The only real difference other than the vtec itself between the motors that I have noticed is the intake manifold. But you get a new manifold with the performer x kit, so that shouldnt be a problem. What do you think. Thanks for your time guys. I appreciate the help.

Yeah that

I know they could add 4 injectors in their manifold to make it work, but I'm not sure what else do they do. As far as pieces fitting, you will be fine, they will fit fine on your y7.

Check out the management.

the intake manifold on the ex is side feed and yours is top feed...might need a elbow or two..
the down pipe might need soem custom work coz on a Y7 the CAT stays on the exhaust manifold.
so ther you don`t have a cat. then you go ahead and weld a cat underneth the car ot make it LEGAL.
so now your kit is not a direct bolt on , you`ve mod. the piping, also ANY MOD TO THE STOCK CAT IS NOT LEGAL.
so you are still NOT smog legal.
