Default another turbo crx

I am very eager to have boost but i'm doing a motor swap over the winter. I have a te04 (14b or g or whatever)...
I was gonna slap that beast on my 89 crx(d15b2) and run an fmu and the carb spring wastegate... ghetto, i know. I was wonderin how long you all thought it would last? also where can i get some cheap piping and a cheap intercooler? The engine has about 140k miles on it and is completely stock dpfi. How much boost can it hold daily driven for abotu 3 quarters of a year? would a 12:1 fmu be alright?

my advice is to read alot on here. you will find everything you need to know.
i would do a compression check on that motor first thing, to see what she has left. you could buy like a side mount ic off a dsm for cheap.... just look in the fore sale section, or try out dsmtrader

fmu's aint the best idea but they can get u bye... im using one in 7psi stock injectors and stock fuelpump but then again i dont drive around all day boosting hard either... only floor it when i wanna break someone off... im chipping my ecu with uberdata to get around the scary part of the fmu. i've heard a lot of bad stories about the fmu but they can't be THAT bad cuz back in the day that's all that was available.

alot of people rock on FMU's. if you seach how people turbo charged vehicles in the past(early 90's), it was done with FMU's. contact chris from tuner toys (in the classifides) and he will tell you, he told me.(or made a post about it) -if you do it right, it will treat you right.

start with whatever spring then start pulling it farther and farther away for more boost. ex. put it on the flapper then on the block, not enough boost? pull it over to the motor mount or whatever u can find to pull it farther away then test it again...

Hopefully you have a TD05h and not a TD04 model turbocharger

the TD05h with identical compressor wheel blades is a 14b, but if you have a TD04 housing, thats a 13g off a automatic 1g dsm... not the best turbo out there It only flows about 360cfm compared to the TD05h 14b's 405cfm

It is a TD05h... I was just to lazy to go outside and see what it said on the side of the turbo.
