Hi Guys.
I am a vehicle customizer who is new to the Turbo scene. I did try the search engine looking for V8 turbo's but did not find an answer to my question. I am Building a 55 Chevy Bel Air. The engine is a 93 LT1 which I have the complete harness and Computer. I am running a 5 speed with 3 : 73 Gears. I would like to build a twin turbo set up. I have been trying to google questions but cannot really get a straight answer. The engine is stock with about 275 HP. I would like to be between 500-600. I would like to purchase used turbos but im not sure which vehicles to look at. I saw the models listed on the first page of this thread but am concerned that they came from small 4 cylinder engines and may not be enough boost for my goals. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

If you're going to pump the output from both turbos into an intercooler, pay the extra and get a quality unit from Specaro or PWR. You can also look for smaller Holeset turbos, I am not familiar with all the model numbers but I think HX35 is maybe what you want as well. |

Looking for a turbo exhaust manifold for an LB4 (4.3) V6 any particular place to look? Junkyards no luck I'm looking at $700 plus at dealer... Is it even worth turbocharging my truck? -.-

We got 4 extra cyclinders then alot of these smaller engiens so cooling and fuel control is an absolute must! alot of this forum is orientated towards smaller motors so the turbos recommendations are smaller and internally gated. nothing wrong with that but we pump more air and fuel. Tuning is also a biggy. heres alittle help to get an idea of what you might what to do for LT1/LS1 engines. I know its kinda like another whats what but its to assist another performance group that has a little more base power to start with ;) Turbo FAQ - LS1TECH also i dont know why my fuel system schematic is thumbnailed but whatever |
Thanks for all this info, the links especially
