Hi, first off, I found this sight very informative nad interesting. I am swapping out my 94 hatchback CX motor for the D16Z6 this weekend. I am really interested in building my own turbo. I already have a good start seeing I can just use the manifold off my old motor. As far as the other parts, I can't wait to get started looking for them. It seems fairly simple and cheap. It also sounds like a whole lotta fun!!! One question I had though, I want to keep my A/C. Is there any turbo setup or anything that will allow me to keep my A/C. The humidity in hawaii is crazy and I can't keep live without it. Thanks again in advance guys and I hope to have pics up soon when I decided to start building it.

So where exactly do I start? Anywhere on here with a step by step guide to building and installing it? I fopund some threads with installs and steps but not detailed steps. Like I said, I want to keep the A/C in. Thanks guys.

 

How reliable are those SOHC homemade turbos on ebay? Any recomendations on any of the sellers there? Instead of building my own, might just buy a ready made HMT. thanks

 

ebay kits are hit or miss you might fucked you might not..look through the stickies in this section and you will learn all kinds of ----..do that then when you are ready..come ask questions about the specifics..how much do you plan on spending and on what motor

 

I am getting a D16z6 installed as we speak. Got it bone stock and swapping out the CX motor. If I can get more out of the D16z6 without spending too much now, then I'm all for it. Because the car was stock, Im dropping cash on everything from suspension to everything like rims and stuff. Anyone have any personal experiences with dealers on ebay>?

 

arp studs noob and new metal gasket and dont buy tubular shiny chrome manifolds buy the cast there is a few out there taht actually clear ac most of them say they do but they dont realy you have to look at the flange on the mani it has to be scoot out twords cylinder #4 not between 2-3 and the ex. WG hole directly virtical to the inlet flange


dam a/c loose it or buy a weak *** greedy kit hows the smog laws over there any?

 

Who cares about smog laws? its not like they chek ur ---- anyways...i dont have a catalytic convt on mine. havent herd nothin from pope.
