no boost?
ok so after hitting 25psi on the laser we started getting oil leaks from the turbo...so we take the turbo off and oil comes out of the charge pipe but there is still no shaft play or nothing seemed to be wrong with it....but we bought a new one from a shop in ashville (near Joseph Davis) saturday. so we get everything back on and take it for a spin...its getting a 20 vacuum reading on the boost gauge but at WOT even if we go all the way to redline the car still won't go past 2 vacuum...so the car isn't seeing boost at all...what could be wrong with it?
oh and joseph they were bashing on you up at that shop...talking about you can't tune and stuff...up at harry's shop with all the mr2's

Of course a shop will say JD can't tune. They probably charge a hell of a lot more than he does.

Re: no boost?
90$ for a NEW turbo is very good.
in case it's not really NEW, these mitsubishi turbos have tendancy to crack at the wastegate dump. Not only that crack can cause an internal leak equivalent to having the wastegate open at all times, but it also extends through the turbine and the edges of the crack can interfere with the rotation of the wheel. MAybe could you try using the old turbine housing on your "new" turbo to trouble shoot that.
