i have my t-25 on my d-16 in a 90 civic si. i have a randy/gary adapterplate and cutom 2 inch downpipe. starion intercooler and 1 g bov. i have been running boosted for 2 weeks now and i am only gettig like 3 psi. the bov is working and all. i know i have some exhaust leak betwen the manifold and the adapter plate. what else can keep me form boosting? i do have a stock exhaust still canthat be a problem?

 

I would think that the exhaust leak at the adaptor plate is responsible for at least some of your problem. it just sounds like you are leaking boost somewhere. I would go back and check all of your connections again, maybe use the soapy water test on your couplers to see if any of them are leaking, and then get that exhaust leak fixed.

 

yah you need to fix that leak because I think the boost has to build up like 5 psi in the manifold or somthing like that just to get 1 psi in the charge pipes! So thats ur problem! Also check the obvious like leaks in charge pipes, or make sure actuator arm not coming off or somthing~! It happened to me and I couldnt find the prob for like a day!

 

I went to tha track last night and after the third run i couldn't boost over 3-4 psi - turns out all the motor torqueing and hard launches the lower bolts on my manifold are all loose. you may want to take it apart and smear some copper rtv on everything.

 

Whats your wastegate set at? it coul just be a possible pressure drop from the size of the intercooler. I would expect a loss of about 1-2 psi from that starion.
