Re: ngk wideband kit
Depends on how your mind works, really. It's no problem to go through and molest the LC-1's so that the break points between green/yellow/red are precise AFRs so you have known safety zones, but they don't do so hot if you want a number to work with.

Re: ngk wideband kit
Just wanted to throw my 5 cents out there.
My SRT4 is the 2nd highest dyno'd stock turbo SRT4 in the country ( 345whp 407 TQ without nitrous and with a stock intercooler ), and I run the NGK system. Its great. I busted a sensor on road kill one night street racing and found the vendors on the forum wanted like $216 for a replacement sensor !! Got on egay and found the NGK replacement from NGK vendor for $120. Then, I cross referenced the part number and found its the stock sensor out of a Acura MDX. Picked one up for advanced autoparts for like $95 with a two year warrenty. This was on pump gas and before any tuning. Watch the IAT temps go over 216 degrees !!! stock SRT4 IC > me, but you can see the wideband http://media.putfile.com/IAT-216-deg...ST-300whp381TQ This is a crappy video b/c the passenger was scared shittless 40-120mph on BFG DRs at 18psi covered in VHT http://media.putfile.com/brian-gauges Anyway, the new $95 sensor is a NTK, and I've had it in the car running none stop for about a year without any issues. I love it... |
Re: ngk wideband kit
Sure it isn't a Denso four wire sensor?
|
Re: ngk wideband kit
Yea I'm sure the MDX has 4 O2 sensors. First two ( two for each bank ) are NTK widebands, and the second two are normal 4-wire deals after the cats.
Of course, if it was just a 4-wire O2, then it wouldn't be very happy on the wideband display. -Bryan |
Re: ngk wideband kit
part number please. or what year mdx is it out of.
|
Re: ngk wideband kit
so which of the three would be a better buy. i'm in the market for a wideband. i was looking at an aem but the innovative or ngk sound like a better buy.
