There are places that sell the Bosch unit with the NTK plug, but obviously it is more expensive that way. Similar to how AEM does it with their EUGO...they give you a standard BOSCH o2, but they use there own plug so that when you go to buy a replacement, you can only get it from them or their dealers unless you want to cut off the plug and do the wiring yourself. |

Nope, they are too expensive...even for them (the company that makes them) so in order to undercut everyone else out there they use an NTK plug with a Bosch sensor. So when your Bosch does go out on you, you need to buy a $150 NTK sensor as the replacement...they made it this way to sell replacement sensors...no other reason. 2) 0-5v output is linear but non configurable. Effective range is 9.0 AFRs to 16.0 AFRs, gasoline only...not configurable for other types of fuel. 0v = 9.0 AFRs and 5v = 16.0 AFRs...so when you go to tune with a stock Honda ECU (without the 0-5v mod) you can only read to 3.13v which is about 13.4 AFRs. If you wanted to tune leaner than 16.0...then you are SOL. Getting near the edge of any 0-5v signal always leaves room for error too. Sure, its a good cheap wideband, but for my money there are better solutions for the same price. IE, Innovate LC-1 with the Moates O-Meter Display...I could sell them all day long the prices these NGK Units go for...especially to my HMT brethren. Speaking of the display you can program it to show AFRs for whatever fuel your running, lambda, any of the thermocouples output and RPM, its a pretty sweet unit and its light; i can have it on my laptop while we're driving around so I dont have to look up off the maps to see AFRs when i'm tuning. Try doing tha with a plx or lm-1. Also you can get it with a long or short cable with any type of plug on it you want, all for around $220usd shipped for the unit (some assembly required) plus another $35 for the sensor if you know where to look. |

Question Exnecron are the LC-1's still have the Hater Issues I heard all about? Or will I need to "buy" their heatsink to be safe?

No hater issues anymore. I was given a "flaky" unit that works great, it was installer error and the car that gave problems had wiring issues.

Hum how accurate is it with the Auto Meter Narrow band set cause i already have one of those installed? Or is it worth the Extra to go with the O-Meter. Although I do like the logging abilities of the O-Meter
