Default Newbie to the world of turbos

Yes I am a newbie to the world of turbo but not to cars or tuning themselves and find your board very loaded with tons of info. But I am planning to boost my little stock d16y8 and wondering what kind of turbo I should be looking for to help me reach my whp goal of around 200hp. I would buy a kit but those are expensive and the money I could put towards a kit I knew can be put together for about half that price if not cheaper. With that extra cash left over I could get extra stuff and get some good tuning done with uberdata. Im looking for suggestions on turbo and psi to run to reach my goals Im looking for something that spools up quick and just overall fun to play with not looking for much over 200 whp on stock motor plan on later building the motor and car up for more boost later.

So what I am asking is suggestions for:
Turbo and PSI that could get me too around 200whp
Something quick to spool up and fun to use in all gears.
Possible turbo that I could use in the future that could run higher boost(plan on building up top and bottom end)

Thanks in advance
