New Turbo kit
Well it was my 2 week vacation from school and I tried to build a new turbo kit. I got everything done except for welding up my manifold. So I have basically a completed turbo kit that I won't be able to drive and feel the results for the next 3 months
Here's my mandrel bender

mmmm 4:00a.m sparklers. My neighbors just love me

Here's what the insides of my bends look like. They flow just as well as a $25 mandrel bend but can be made for a fraction of the price.

Here's the manifold that I was unable to finish. I could have welded it with mine but I wouldn't be as confident as if I used a stronger welder. This is the whole reason the kit isn't done right now

The turbo is front facing so it could get a little more of a ram air effect.

The downpipe is 3.5 inches. Its a little overkill but its the only piie I had lying around besides 2.5

Finished product

No need for mandrels on the charge pipes.

I curved this charge pipe so it wouldn't block the flow of air going into the compressor

Stealthmoding the pipework :P

Semi finished product. Notice the only mandrel bend in the whole kit. I had to include it so Jeff couldn't give me ----...
That's my kit, too bad I can't try it out for 3 months since I'm leaving for school in 10 minutes. The specs on the kit are:
T3/T4 .60 compressor .63 turbine 57 trim Tyrus 8.5 inch intercooler
Greddy Type-S BOV
Custom Whitey Bent charge pipes
Custom manifold
3.5 inch downpipe
38mm Tial wastegate
uberdata
DSM 450's
plx m300 wideband
Tell me what you think...

Looks like you had about 3 days worth of welding on your "Whitey bends".
Looks good. It looks like the quality is a step up on this one.

I read somewhere where someone did dyno comparison tests on crush bent pipes and mandrel bends and the only difference was about 8hp. yeah, thats alot, but I think it could be picked up elsewhere...
if I can find the thread, I will post it in another thread.
