New Turbo kit

yea they drfinately flow better than crinckle bends, hey it don't look like you got much to go on that setup. those whitey bends look like the take alot longer to put together than a mandrel bent charge pipe though, maybe that's what's holding you back. ---- jc whitney has madrel nebds for $12. for 2 1/2". to each his own i guess. i'd pull a couple all nighters to finish it up.

The bends do flow better than crush pipe becuase the idea is to maintain the same inside diameter. when the diameter changes (like with crush bends) it causes the air to speed up than slow down causing a loss in velocity and power.
Again, I can't finish the kit until Thanksgiving at the earliest becuase I'm now at school and a 4 hour drive from the car. The reason it didnt get done was becuase I never found the time to make it over to my friends house to use his welder to finish the manifold. The entire kit is complete except for running the beads on the manifold. So I only have about 45 minutes left of welding to do and about a half hour to install everything...

wow, that sucks. having to wait til thanksgiving to finish it. i had a manifold, turbo, gauges, tubbing, in may last year and not til june this year was it til i got to install my turbo. blame it on lack of funds. i lost total interest in boosting my car for a while, good thing i never sold anything while i waited. well thanksgiving is only 3 months away, it'll get here before you know it. i know i would loose control and come back home for the weekend and finish it.lol. that manifold looks super trick though.

So far this is only the second, I haven't really had the car that long. I think this is the last one than the car is getting sold.

interesting manifold design, very cool to see things being done differently. and very high tech with that spiffy mandrel bender hehehe
